Mike is originally from Michigan where he attended “The University”. Afterwards he joined Merrill Lynch and in 1982 moved south, out of the snow to the Carrollwood area. Although he enjoys flying to the snow for a little skiing, his love of the stuff is limited to that and watching it on the weather stations.
In 2012, Mike met his future bride Paula and in 2015 they were married. Between them they have six children, all living on their own!!
Paula is a BRN working at Adventist Hospital in Pre-admission testing at the Women’s Center. She also is a licensed real estate agent and assists Mike with real estate business. Paula loves working with home buyers!
Together they enjoy traveling, golf, riding their Harley and being with the kids and their one grandson.
Mike and Paula are member of several business and professional organization including Carrollwood Area Business Association, North Tampa Bar Association, RGA Network to name of few. Mike and Paula attend church at Lake Magdalene United Methodist and are long time members of The Krewe of Venus where Mike has served on the board, as Treasurer, Captain of the Guard and President.
Mike built one of the largest state registered independent financial planning and investment firms in the region. During the housing crash of 2007 – 08, Mike helped many of his clients sell their family homes and worked with investor clients purchasing rental homes, and he liked it!
So, after 30 years as President and Chief Investment Officer, Mike sold that company and turned his full attention to the helping people with one of the largest transactions they will ever be involved with…a home.
One of the major parts of helping someone buying a home is negotiating with the seller and the sellers agent. Years of negotiating with some of the biggest firms in the investment industry, where transactions in the six-figure range were common, was a great primer for dealing with real estate agents on the other side of a home transaction.
On the flipside, sellers need someone who can calculate a fair value of their home and be able to market that home like it was the only home in town! Personal relationships and experience selling a home are certainly part of the process. However, anybody can list a home on the MLS! As a seller you should be looking for a marketing expert who happens to have a real estate license. That is where Mike and his team come in above all others.
Either buying or selling, Mike, Paula and the entire team of professionals are ready to work with you.
